(This section will be as long as my life, but I will try to make it short)

I am well known to some people as "Dwi" or "A-An" (my chinese nick name)

I grew up in Jakarta since I was 2 years old. Growing up in the harse environment of Jakarta, I lead myself up to the way I am known now: the person that people can rely on.

I am the only son in my family with two sisters. Bearing the big 'Tan' family name, I am the continuation of my legacy which no one else in the big family are entitled to bear the family name

Now I am married with my beloved wife, Tina, and our life adventure is a never-ending new life experience each and every day.

Regina Pacis name will never be forgotten part of my life as it is the school that I spend my first 13 years in my education.

Going on in the higher education, I attended a 4-year graduate degree at Bina Nusantara University. The major was in the middle of transition between Computer Science and Information Technology (and a small mixture of Information Systems)

Near to the end of my university's life, I started to work part-time in 1996 and soon full time in 1998.

The transition of my career details can be found in the 'career/achievement' links on the left menu.

Overall, it was the starting of my real-life journey about love, career, commitment and various life aspects that not many poeple experienced it in their life. (at least not common for Indonesian poeple and culture)

Since I was two years old, I always life in the world of fantasies and imagination (people called it: dreams). Thanks to that guide, I can survive my life up to now. All creativity, ideas and innovations came from my imaginations.

Many weird life experience has appear in my life that many ideas that I have imagined become reality in other parts of the world (if only I patented it, I would be the person that holds the most patents with crazy ideas on earth! I will try to make it happen and see the outcome soon!). You can find the ideas and creativities in the link called 'Fantasia' from the main page.

Life-long study has been part of my life activities. Many poeple will feel that studying at certain level of age is enough (and enough means enough!). I took the extreme opposite of life path. Up to now, I am still pursuing many studies. The aim is not to be the know-it-all person, but more towards self-satisfaction and physical endurance (of my brain) to take the extreme excercise.

My current study are:

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
  • Ever feel like becoming something in your professional achievement? Welcome to the club!

I have been wanting to become a CCIE since day 1 I study on my CCNA, and now is the journey ...

  • Enterpreneurship
  • This will be a life-long learning and journey that I started again in late 2004

It might sounds too much for people that decided not to pursue their study and start enjoying life. But, I feel: this is enjoying life!

I decided to study Certificate IV course due to the part-time job that I have in RMIT University since mar-2005) and for future goals to be one of the professionally accredited trainer. (oops, I spilled some of the dreams in here!)

Being a Cisco Certified has been part of my obsession. It started back in year 2001 when I managed to get my CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associates) after the 2nd attempt (all of you out there, failure is common! It is how you get up from your failure will differentiate you from the rest of loosers!). The CCIE story is not different than any other CCIE attempters on earth. I have attempted the written exam once and I still need to improve various skills and knowledge before attempting for another written exam.

As for the Microsoft Certified Professionals, I only had a lot of experience with it but now paper proof that I am capable of doing it. It might sounds arrogant to keep getting the proof for other people. However, I feel more towards self-satisfaction instead of proof-to-the-world type of people.

There are more list to go on if I listed them all here on what I learn each and every day in my life. The greatest lesson that I keep getting every day is: very day is another life lesson that I was prepared from yesterday to cope with future learning that will happen tomorrow.

I practice yesterday's learning today and learn more from it to be practiced tomorrow.

I am also one of the computer addict. It started way back in 1977 when I first have my own Lego to play with. Building the 'blocks' has never-ending possibility. Even one simple block could turn into anything!

After I got my first birthday gift at 9-years-old, a remote control car, I started to learn how to disassemble a thing and assemble it back without any trace of damage and the thing still works fine. This could be useful for my 'stealth' skills that comes in handy for fixing people's items (especially electronics) wihtout showing them that I had opened it up, fix it and close them back.

The additional part of extending my creative experience is by the time I got married with Tina. I was totally surprised that she is very creative in her imagination.

Now we have a family of 'pets' that consist of soft toys family.

Outside than those serious part of my life, I like enjoying life with the loved ones. Strolling on the evening, walking the dogs, chatting with new poeple and many more.
