For what I’ve done I start again And whatever pain may come Today this ends I’m forgiving what I’ve done!!! (taken from "What I've Done" - Linkin Park) True that that short portion of the lyrics, I was not able to forgive myself on what I've done in the last CCIE take. Here's what I learned: I still need to learn more (ha!) After leaving the study for almost 1 year, I really feel that my knowledge start to rusted up. Most of them that is less rusty is still able to be recalled due to the nature of my work in the last one year. However, I must face it: to be the 'expert' in the RS track, I must be able to perform as per CCIE blue print (both written and lab) I will still follow the traditional approach to keep my study focussed as before: complete written and worry about the lab after passing written. And then, once written passed: don't worry about the lab, it's 'just' another exciting one-day off where you really put yourself up in the one-man-show that you are really the 'expert' as per credential requirements So, enough worry on anything else now, going back to my written preparation (again) |

As some of you might now, I have to re-sit in my CCIE written in order to gain the CCIE candidacy (Click here to see that post). This will be the fourth 'take' of my journey to be a multiple CCIE. The first take was in 2003 and I decided to 'stop' right after the first written attempt (booo!!!) The second take was in 2005, the same story with the first take, except I didn't remember taking it (???) The third take was the serious take that I ever done between May 2006 until March 2007 (two written and two lab attempts). The fourth take ... well, it starts now (officially 10 October 2008, I was just too tired after getting back from my holiday on that day, but hey, here's the writing now ) So, ladies and gentlemen, here is Dwi Taniel back in CCIE track again! (seriously, I'm back ... ) P.S.: click here to access the certification blog that I start writing like the old blog linked up there. |

JNCIA log, dated 20080916PST I start to have 'fuzzy' vision on whether I read 1 or 3 books/sources at the same time. One book is on JNCIA study guide, the other is the JunOS for Enterprise Routing. I obtained JNCIA study guide from Juniper website (sorry, can't find the link anymore. But I found the link to download that book for free). Oh, hang on, found it while writing this article. It is located here (yay!) So far, I could (re)-grasp my knowledge flashing back to year 2001 (wow, it's been a while isn't it?). At that time, I was preparing my CCNA and obtained in in December 2001. I am certified until 2009 for that (thanks to CCIE written that I took before, and also two -brutal- lab attempts that leads me to learn the hard lesson of 'study preparation'). However, as I mentioned in other post that I am now preparing my self towards those set of certifications again, I start feeling the thrill of putting myself into test again. Certification life, here I come!!! |
