Blog - CCIE

Ok, it's been decided, I will take one more shot at CCIE R&S lab!

I am currently reviewing the old workbook from Internetwork Expert (4.1) and once the quick review is over, I will stomp on the next version along with on-demand bootcamp (any discounts are welcomed Wink )

Speaking of which, I recalled that in the past an unknown blog reader emailed me. He (she?) offered me the real lab scenarios by paying certain amount of money, not much and I practically can afford it. But, I know such people is not a good people Wink

True to the saying, around last week or two, I saw in groupstudy about a guy confessing the regret of paying for such a scam (ha!). I won't say that he got the gotcha from that scheme lurking person (or team?), but c'mon, where's the spirit of quality.

I bet some of you might laugh and ask "quality, what quality for today's world?".

Here is the thing: I always believe in quality. Even though more often than not that I opted for the 'second' grade things, but I always use it that way in order to ensure that the 'first' grade stuff is the real thing. Now, since living in Australia and now in USA, I always prefer the quality over quantity. This also apply to my study method that I get whacked in my head on what's wrong.

During the last round of attempt(s), I got for quantity: how many hours I logged in to the practice lab, how many questions I have answered right, how frequent that I avoided DocCD for the sake of speeding up the lab practice, etc. All are quantity!

The quality learning did not happen as what I expected. True that some says that practice makes perfect, but if during practice we don't learn something out from it, it is just having fun (or simply said: toying around).

Now that I have to focus on the quality study (while also enjoying it), this next round of lab attempt will surely be a fun journey.

CCIE R&S Lab, here I come!

Note: once I completed (and pass) this R&S lab, storage will be next! I have read several materials about it a couple of weeks back and it is an exciting technology to have on board of my certifications.

Note 2: I was thinking of conducting CCIE study class during and after I passed, but knowing my schedule and some of my own priority, I think I will keep it in the back burner for the time being. I enjoyed when I was giving training/ teaching, as from there I can deepen my knowledge to the subject as well. But, we'll see how things turned out until end of the year Wink
